Working much like a car's engine control unit (ECU), the FireStar optimizes furnace performance by using sensors to decide how to control and independently adjust the primary and/or secondary air. By adding the right amount of air in the right place at the right time, the controller is able to optimize the gasification process to achieve the cleanest and most efficient burn possible.
FireStar's burning time fuel gauge shows you on your smartphone or computer how much time remains for your current wood load. If you choose, you can set a notification to send a reminder at any level of time left (e.g., 10%, 15%, 20% or more), and when Reserve Mode is activated. The Reserve Mode is an exclusive feature that ensures you won't need to relight the fire when refilling the firebox.
